I have had “Sheep go to Heaven, Goats go to Hell” by Cake stuck in my head for about a week.  (“as soon as we’re born we start dying, so you might as well have a good time”).

One way to drive out an earworm is with another earworm.

Like… Yellow Submarine.

Or… The song that doesn’t end (it just goes on and on my friends).

Or… It’s a small world (after all)…

Or... shananana shananana hey hey goodbye

Hey Baby by No Doubt works wonders, as does MC Frontalot

What are your (least) favorite ear worms?  How do you drive songs out of your head?

My husband is convinced the kit kat jingle will get rid of any song in your head. “Give me a break, give me a break, break me off a piece of that kit kat bar.”

I was tiling at my mom’s this weekend and one of the few stations that gets reception is this alternative radio show, which is usually pretty good. Last night they had punk on, but the day before they had Polka music. I had polkas stuck in my head the entire time until the punk finally came on.

Songs that get stuck in my head: Love Potion #9, George Strait’s Troubadour, and Katy Perry’s Teenage Dream. oh, and just about any song that comes on Glee. ;)

Oh, I think Love Potion #9 just took purchase in my head.

Also the sounds of crickets chirping… maybe we need another intentionally controversial post… Where’s Evan when you need him?

Hey Nicole, *I wanted to ask you this in an email but I could not find yours on your site* Here goes anyway…

I am trying to do a sort of anthologyish guest post on our site where I would ask 3 different bloggers to write 500-600 words on how to cook frugally and then provide a recipe as an example as well. Based upon the comments on our site it seems that this would be something a lot of people are interested in. Would you be interested in being one of the 3 “guest” chef bloggers? If you’re interested, just let me know. I would probably want to run it by the end of the month while we are still doing it, so the time line would probably be a deadline of 7-10 days if you are interested. If not I understand I know how busy you are with everything else. Thanks.

Shoot me an email at webhost@brokeprofessionals.com or let me know in a comment if you’re interested.

I love that Cake song. Last week I had “How do you talk to an angel” in my head, the one from the ’90’s, by that dude who was on that 90210 spin off.

When I was traveling through Europe, I and my travel buddies would be cast to the whims of whatever songs were European hits at the time because we heard them all the time in stores and train stations. Consequently, “Sorry Miss Jackson” by Outkast was constantly being sung by one of us. That one still gets stuck in my head from time to time. And nothing can chase it out.
