Regarding interviews, I had a pretty good clue I wasn’t getting one position after the dean-like-person actively guided the conversation away from anything of substance. It was pretty clear to everyone that I shouldn’t have been flown out to begin with (and it was pretty clear to me that the person that was running the search was clueless). Otherwise that list seems pretty spot-on.
