No excuse for the sparse link love this week. #1 did not have jetlag. #2 was not rushing with deadlines (though as of now she’s still got a Monday deadline looming :( ) A number of posts that posted this week will be mentioned in future posts on the blog even if they’re not in this week’s link love. That’s even better, right?
This made me laugh out loud because I have BEEN THERE. (#2 is still annoyed at the coauthor who decided to try this right before a deadline.)
Gallup discusses a survey of SAHM and WOHM by income levels.
Apple Pie and the Universe asks if it’s ok to do a little if you can’t do a lot and how are you socially active about things you care about?
J Liedl talks about getting to good enough.
We were in this week’s Carnival of Personal Finance.
Some pretty pretties. More here and here. This looks cool but I need to see it MUCH bigger. I think my mom would like this also this.

Once I quit caffeine cold turkey, and I seriously felt like I was dying: like this deep sense of absolute physical dread and closeness to death.

I managed to give up all major forms of caffeine after a couple trips to the ER with caffeine-induced heart palpitations. It took two weeks, and I simply couldn’t stay awake and coherent. On the other hand, I really didn’t have much choice. Now I drink green tea, though usually sizable amounts. It’s enough to pep me up, but not enough to send me back to the ER. :-)

That is a scary thought! Stay out of the ER!

Turns out that they’re harmless…but it’s still scary to have your heart acting like a mad squirrel trying to escape from a trap. (And I guess, if they go on too long, they can become not harmless…hence the need to get off.) Actually, the whole thing made me feel awfully stupid because I didn’t realize I’d had that much tea until after the fact. :-)

My mom passed out from dehydration once from having too much green tea and not enough other liquids.
Heart palpitations are scary whatever the cause. (Well, except very brief ones from say, a handsome guy crossing one’s path.)

Hmmm…maybe I should’ve told my husband they were his fault. :-D
