Do you live in Georgia’s sixth district?  “There’s a special election in your backyard on April 18th. Democrats have a real shot to flip Georgia’s 6th Congressional District and send a message to Trump and the GOP. The voter registration deadline is this Monday, March 20th. Anyone in the district can register to vote or check your status ONLINE. You can get more information here: And please spread the word! #FlipThe6th.”

If you live in one of these districts, make extra special sure to call your House rep about the ACA ASAP.  Leave a message or fax if necessary!

I DO live in the 6th and I am ready to vote for John Ossof!

  2. Debbie M Says:

Wow, I did not know the ACA got rid of Medicaid’s asset tests! Even though I’ve worried about them (for the unknown future). Awesome!

In other news, a friend of mine hates that they can search your laptop at the border. She travels internationally for work and often has company private data on her laptop which she feels is not her right to share.

Another thought: if you think that non-whites having babies is a threat to this country, why defund Planned Parenthood?

And I did love that female email accidental experiment, except for all the results of course.

I know the guy who did the Medicaid/divorce paper! I thought it was neat.

I know him too! He is very much an extrovert. (I also know Donna Ginther because economics is a small world.)

      • Jenny F. Scientist Says:

He was in college when I was in grad school and we’re both Jewish so, naturally, he’s had dinner at my house. ;) He is definitely a friendly person. Anyhow, smart liberal economists FTW (you and him both, and probably Ginther too!).

      • nicoleandmaggie Says:

I don’t actually know Donna Ginther’s political affiliation. Obviously she’s not pro-Trump because there aren’t any reputable economists who are (literally, none, not even 100% libertarians), but I don’t know other than that. (Her work is all over the political spectrum, which isn’t unusual for economists.)
