How are you spending today?
Books to the ceiling,
Books to the sky,
My pile of books is a mile high.
How I love them! How I need them!
I'll have a long beard by the time I read them.

Well, it’s 6 am. One kid is watching Sesame Street. The other just puked. Glad we were already planning on a low key day.

Oh gee that doesn’t sound fun. :(

It turned out fine! The puker came downstairs, watched Sesame Street, and was fine by 8 am for opening presents. Tired parents, but that’s the norm for breaks right now.

We’re having the traditional Jewish Christmas day — going out for Chinese (if we can find a restaurant open in this town).

Merry Christmas! It’s pretty quiet here. Our first Christmas without either of our parents and our first Christmas in the city we live in and in our new house, which is all kind of lovely! One of my relatives invited themselves to join us, but they’re the least dramatic and racist of all of my relatives, so it’s still been pretty quiet. We did my relative’s traditional Christmas Eve dinner last night and are having a roast tonight since it’s just the three of us.

We’re having dinner with friends and the probably watching a non-traditional movie. Meanwhile, my boyfriend is cooking up a storm because he loves that. I went for a jog and am now relaxing. I have on my Christmas tree light necklace (really just light shapes of plastic painted with shiny paint) and jingle bells earrings (made by my grandma).
Happy day to y’all, too!

Cleaned house, did a pantry purge, baked a lot, read three books, made tea in my new teapot, about to light Hanukkah candles. (I am home alone for 6 days, it is glorious.) Thinking of getting myself a new pair of slippers.
Merry Christmas!

Laundry and some other housework during the day, plus candle-lighting, latkes, and Netflix in the evening.
