Link Love

How a pediatrician had a coordinated attack against here after making a cute and fun video about how vaccines don’t cause autism.

A twisted story about dealing with health insurance to get a CT scan in the US.

Reading this I felt a little guilty for us finally getting around to the kitchen remodel.  But then I reminded myself I’d just rolled out sugar cookies on the island instead of on the bureau in the dining room and remembered how hard it was to clean the “white” laminate we had previously.  And how the water no longer pools behind the sink.  And how we can afford it.  So I felt better.  But maybe I feel virtuous for putting it off for so long?

    Thank you.
Your new kitchen was not just cosmetic or keeping up with trends. Dry rot from standing water will create damage to walls and eventual destroy a house if left unchecked. But what a fabulous post you linked to.
Also for the connection to the end of A.S.’s presentation about truth …

It wasn’t in an area that would have damaged walls–at most it would have damaged the counter we pulled up–it really was a cosmetic thing. But I still think that’s ok given our situation.

i’m glad you got a more functioning kitchen for your money spent. you said it: you put it off and could afford it. if ours didn’t work the way we needed we would fix it up immediately. thanks very much for the link. i really appreciate it. enjoy the enhanced cooking experience.

    Love Postmodern Jukebox!

As for kitchens, right now we’re renting. When we owned, we did very little beyond fixing whatever broke until we moved out; then we had to have some stuff done in order to sell the place…

Wrote some postcards to voters in Florida today urging people to sign up to vote by mail.
Then I ordered more postcards! (The stamps I ordered came earlier this week, so I’m good there.)
