This (psychiatrist) guy has NO symptoms but has tested positive for Covid 56 days after testing positive the first time.
Be careful about sizes when ordering online– this thread is hilarious.

OMG the thread about online ordering sizes is hilarious! It makes me feel better that I am not the only one who is horrible at weights and measures. To be fair, some of the descriptions are not clear (like am I ordering 1 banana or 1 bunch of bananas??)

There’s no way he’s still shedding infective particles after 56 days. It’s gonna be viral genome particles, not enveloped virus. I bet he’s got a hefty IgG titre by now and probably neutralizing antibodies too. That’s a reflection of the technical limitations of testing and nothing else. I can’t believe this whole damn country closed for two months and we still have a dumpster fire for viral testing, antibody testing, and PPE.

This is what happens when you decide to kick career government workers out of their jobs. Draining the swamp, indeed. More like taking out all the great parts of a swamp (as someone who did swamp ecology for awhile, I’m always baffled at why people hate on swamps — they do so many cool things and have great benefits). We have a toxic garbage dump now.

Swamps provide important (ecosystem) services, unlike our current government

Yup :-) wish most people would understand about ecosystem services. They are so darn basic, and I’ve had so many students struggle to understand them.

I keep seeing the ‘pay attention to the size / quantity you order’ thing online and it’s pretty funny. I had a moment of being willing to risk getting 144 units of a thing on the off chance that their weird labeling really just meant 12 of them…. but I didn’t follow through.
