Not quite the same thing, but I do want to share that my college has not only completely reinstated our retirement match from pre-pandemic times, they are making catch up contributions for the amounts missed during the period in which they suspended matching. It’s not quite the same since we missed the market gains during the last two years but it’s market gains and huge endowment increases that seem to be responsible so I’ll take it. A few employees will be impacted by the total allowed annual contributions, but our salary scale for professors is pretty flat so no professors will be impacted. Just a positive data point since you posted on the suspension of matching and others may be bargaining to get matches back.
