But how would I stare lovingly at myself in the ceiling mirror…does the poptent come with a skylight?
On second thought, that must be for people worried that their cat will try to tickle them awake at night, a concern I can understand. Sure, you can use a water pistol as a deterrent, but the clever midnight tickler will flee at the first movement, dashing away in the shadows, and leaving you to wet various bedclothes, walls, or innocent bystanders. Stern talking-tos only result in a blank stare. Shutting the door won’t work unless you can sleep through hours of yowling about the atrocity of a closed door. So clearly a poptent is the only solution.

Is the poptent designed for dorm settings I guess?
Loved the book thing. I walked to town this weekend and the library was having their book sale and it was the last day, and it was fill a box for $5 and they were closing in 10 minutes. That’s the only reason I left with a handful of books instead of boxes. cuz they were heavy and it was a 15 minute walk home.

also: love the Ann Friedman piece. Going back to the recent discussion here on identity … what Ann has to say about female professionals’ [possible] lack of vision [possibly] affecting their upward mobility was very interesting.
Not 100% sure if I read into the piece exactly what she intended, but that point was very instructive.

We get a lot more push-back when we mention our ambitions too. So even when we have ambition it’s harder to vocalize it.
